Speak Up! Readers unimpressed by UNM home experience, Lobo women

I, TOO, attended the New Mexico-Wyoming game and was very amazed to see all of the fans dressed up as empty seats. I watched the Lobos play the first half and understood why. But then … all of the sudden, they looked like a pretty average team that played with a little energy! I believe they’ll be a much better team next year. That said, let’s all show up and root on this year’s team … they’re really trying and deserve our support!

LOOKING AT the Lady Lobos’ record it’s easy to see we have a talented team. So why is it they fall apart on the road? This problem is on the coaching staff. Poor performance only on road trips is about lack of mental preparation. One observation: we have several talented three-point shooters, but I didn’t see one good screen to get anyone open at Wyoming.

LET’S SEE if I get this correct. The (Aggies’) bowl appearance generated $24 million in exposure for their bowl. So based on that logic, the UNM Lobos are worth 6 times as much in national exposure for being in 6 bowls compared to the (Aggies’) one. Wow!

TEE MARTIN, former UNM assistant coach, national title winning college quarterback, and current offensive coordinator for the University of Southern California wants a head coaching job. Lobos, step up and get Tee Martin when Bob Davie leaves! Yeah, Tee will cost a bundle but the big dance is expensive. Does Lobo nation really want success or are you just cheap?
