Lost pallets trigger motorcycle crash, I-25 closure at Jefferson

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Southbound lanes of Interstate 25 were closed briefly at Jefferson after a trailer lost dozens of pallets, causing a motorcycle crash Sunday evening, according to police.

Officer Tanner Tixier, APD spokesman, said around 8 p.m. that the motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital and was in stable condition.

A post on the department’s Twitter page reported that around 50 pallets were spread across all lanes of traffic close to Candelaria.

Tixier said I-25 would remain closed until the pallets were cleared.
