TRAFFIC: Far North Valley Intersection Project Set To Begin

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A roundabout-type intersection will be built where N.M. 313 intersects with Roy Road.

A public hearing is scheduled to take place tonight, Jan. 20, that will allow residents to meet with representatives of the state Department of Transportation and the contractor A.S. Horner to discuss the project. Traffic impacts will be among the topics talked about.

The meeting takes place from 6-7 p.m. in the auditorium of the DOT’s District 3 offices, 7500 Pan American NE.

The project will be one of two going in the immediate area, the other being the ongoing rehabilitation of the bridge over the North Diversion Channel. The bridge work started last month.

The roundabout project hasn’t moved forward without some question, as ABQjournal.com has reported.
