Many a would-be tackler would attest that Isaiah Floyd is hard to catch.
For the New Mexico Lobos, it appears, the prolific junior college running back is one that got away.
Floyd, less than 48 hours after announcing his commitment to UNM, told the Journal via social media on Wednesday that he had “de-committed.”
“I was just rushing into the process and I wanted to explore my options,” he said.
A short time later, Floyd announced he had committed to Arizona State.
His decision, he said, was no reflection on UNM.
“Amazing facility and campus, great coaching staff,” he said.
Apparently, the chance to play for a Pac-12 team was to much for a California kid to resist.
Last fall, playing for City College of San Francisco, Floyd led all California junior college rushers with 1,797 yards on the ground.
