Monkbridge Manor at the corner of Fourth Street and what is now Veranda Road in the 1920s. Built around 1916, the manor was the home of George Roslington, who made his fortune in trolleys, then went broke after buses replaced them. The manor, which became a tuberculosis sanitorium, was eventually demolished. (Albuquerque Museum Photo Archives)
