SO UNM HIRED a high flying Chicago law firm that came to Albuquerque and was paid $24,292 of New Mexico citizens’ tax dollars for an investigation of Bob Davie and never spoke to him? Stunning. Interim UNM President Chaouki Abdallah then suspended Davie for 30 days, which became a national news story. Reading the Journal’s account of the situation, I’d say that Davie has a good chance of winning his appeal. Abdallah, thankfully headed out the presidential door in less than three weeks, has set the struggling Lobo football program back a decade.
