Savina G. Garcia

Savina G. Garcia, PE, has been promoted by Wilson & Co. Inc., Engineers & Architects to New Mexico transportation operations manager.

Garcia has worked for the firm for 19 years and was elected a shareholder in 2009. She has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from New Mexico State University and is a registered professional engineer in New Mexico and Arizona.


Kathryn Ritter Jochems has joined Miller Stratvert P.A. as an associate attorney. Ritter Jochems will practice in the areas of civil litigation and commercial transactions. She has a law degree, cum laude, from the University of New Mexico.

Becky Perry has joined Signature Southwest Properties. Perry will specialize in real estate sales in the Albuquerque metro area.

Mark Goodman has joined Haverland Carter LifeStyle Group as corporate director of community development. Goodman previously was the dean of St. John’s Cathedral in Albuquerque for 10 years. He was ordained as a priest in the Episcopal Church in 1991 and moved with his family to Albuquerque in 2007. He has a bachelor’s degree in botany from Oklahoma University; and a master of divinity degree from the General Theological Seminary in New York City.

Mark Lord has joined A-Tech Security as director of sales and marketing. Lord has 15 years’ experience in marketing research and sales in a variety of industries. He has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from UNM.

Wei-Ann Bay, M.D.

Wei-Ann Bay, M.D., has joined Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Mexico (BCBSNM) as chief medical officer for BCBSNM’s government programs health coverage. Bay previously worked at Molina Healthcare of New Mexico; was a faculty member at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio; and was also on the clinical staff at the Audie L. Murphy Memorial Veterans Affairs Hospital in San Antonio. She has a medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio; completed an internal medicine internship at the University of California-San Diego; and an internal medicine residency at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in San Antonio.


Doug “Bishop” Anaya

Doug “Bishop” Anaya, a member care coordinator for the New Mexico Medicaid division of Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Mexico (BCBSNM), has been named the 2017 BCBSNM Volunteer of the Year. Anaya, a four-year employee of BCBSNM, logged almost 300 volunteer hours in 2017. He is the president of the Hellfighters Soul Snatchers Unit, a motorcycle ministry that provides food, clothing and shelter for the homeless in Albuquerque. His ministry has grown to 40 to 50 volunteers feeding more than 350 homeless individuals each weekend. In honor of Anaya’s award, BCBSNM is donating $1,000 to his charity of choice, the Hellfighters Soul Snatchers Unit.


The Albuquerque Community Foundation has announced a new board chair and five new board members for its 2018 Future Fund Board. They are Skyler Wildenstein – vice president/trust officer of Empire Trust Inc., board chair; Mariah Harrison – UNM Office of Community Engaged Learning and Research, board member; Mo Marwan – owner/broker of the Vision Mortgage Group, board member; Sofia Sanchez – ABQ Volunteers Coordinator of the Office of Mayor Tim Keller, board member; David Silverman principal/qualifying broker of Geltmore LLC; and Tri Trinh, product realization team technical lead of Sandia National Laboratories, board member.

Chapter 46 of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) has elected new officers for 2018. They are Patrick D. Gallacher, CPM – NAI Maestas & Ward, president; Chuck V. Sheldon, CPM – T and C Management LLC, president-elect; Teresa A. West, CPM – Alvarado Management Ltd. Co., secretary; Karen Ward, CPM – director – Education; Kristen A. Restivo – CBRE Inc., director – industry partner; Virginia Gonzales – Commercial Real Estate Management, director – membership; and Jeff Zank – T and C Management LLC, director at large.

The Commercial Association of Realtors New Mexico has elected new officers and board members for 2018.

New officers are Ed Anlian, CCIM – Colliers International, president; Sean McMullan, CCIM – McMullan & Co. Real Estate LLC, president elect; Walt Arnold, CCIM, SIOR – SVN/WACB, Inc., secretary; Cole Flanagan, NAI Maestas & Ward Commercial Real Estate, treasurer; and Marguerite Haverly – CBRE Inc., past president.

2018 board members include Clay Azar; Todd Clarke, CCIM; Greg Leach; Ray Regan; Ty Robeck; Steve Kraemer, CCIM; Kelly Tero; Shelly Branscom, CCIM; Patrick Gallacher, CPM; and Erick Johnson, CCIM, SIOR.
