Lymon trial postponed to May 11

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Davon Lymon’s trial on charges connected to the death of an Albuquerque police officer has been moved from March to May, according to a court order issued Monday.

The delay comes just over a week after state District Judge Briana Zamora removed Lymon’s public defenders from his case because of a possible conflict of interest.

“Numerous motions are pending that cannot be addressed until legal representation for the defendant has been determined,” Zamora wrote.

Lymon’s trial on first-degree murder and lesser charges was initially set to begin March 20, but instead will start May 11, Zamora wrote.
