Correction: This story has been updated to reflect that Arzate was 16 years old. BCSO had previously said he was 15.

A 16-year-old boy is on life support after being shot during a road rage incident in southwest Albuquerque Tuesday night, according to a Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson.

Deputy Felicia Maggard said Efrain Arzate Jr. was riding in the back seat when he was shot near the intersection of Gun Club and Kirk SW.

She said the shooter’s vehicle has not been found and deputies are asking anyone with information to come forward.
