SANTA FE – Santa Fe’s first Chick-fil-A will open April 19.
The popular fast food chain has built a 4,200-square-foot restaurant at 2400 Cerrillos Rd., in the College Plaza South shopping center, according to a Friday news release.
The first 100 adult guests through the door win a year’s worth of free meals—or 52 chicken sandwich deals with fries and a drink. Starting at 6 a.m. on April 18, people can line up and camp out on the parking lot. “Chick-fil-A provides security, entertainment, games and, of course, plenty of fresh Chick-fil-A,” says a news release.
Free-meals-for-a-year cards be awarded around 5:45 a.m. on April 19. If more than 100 people are on-site when the line officially opens at 6 a.m. the day before, a drawing will be held to randomly select the first 100. Those chosen will be required to camp out overnight until the grand opening in order to secure their spot. Franchise operator Mark Ruse is also requesting the first 100 bring a new or gently used children’s book for a book drive to benefit Partners in Education.
