Sunday: The Isotopes (5-6) could not put their losing streak to an end, falling to the Salt Lake Bees 7-2 at Isotopes Park. The Bees (7-4) jumped on Isotopes’ starter David Holmberg, putting up six runs in the top of the first inning. The deficit proved too much for the Isotopes to overcome as Albuquerque plated just two runs on Sunday, the lowest output of the season for the club. Noel Cuevas went 2-for-3 with a home run. The 26-year-old has now hit safely in 10 of 11 games for the Isotopes. Right-handed pitcher David Holman allowed one hit in three shutout innings. He walked one and struck out one. Salt Lake pitchers recorded 11 strikeouts.
