ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Detectives are still looking for the public’s help identifying a woman who was dropped off at a hospital with a fatal gunshot wound early Saturday morning.
Gilbert Gallegos, a spokesman for the Albuquerque Police Department, said the woman had been shot in the chest. She was dropped off at Lovelace Hospital near Downtown around 4 a.m. where she died.
He said Monday that detectives are investigating her death as a homicide.
Gallegos described the woman as Hispanic, in her early to mid 20s and with long dark hair. He asked anyone who believes a friend or relative is missing to call police.
The morning of the shooting Gallegos had said detectives were looking for help identifying the car that dropped her off at the hospital. He did respond to questions Monday about whether they had found that car or its driver.
