William Herbst has been named president of Bridgers & Paxton. Herbst will also continue as chairman of the board of the company.
Joseph J. Fluder III has been promoted to chief executive officer (CEO) at SWCA Environmental Consultants (SWCA). Fluder joined SWCA in 2003 as a water resources and GIS specialist in the company’s Albuquerque office. Since that time, he has held a variety of technical and leadership positions, most recently serving as the chief operating officer (COO) for the past four years. He has a bachelor’s degree in environmental geography from Illinois State University; and a master’s degree in geography from the University of New Mexico.
The Honorable Timothy L. Garcia has joined Montgomery & Andrews, P.A. Garcia will practice primarily in the areas of mediation and alternative dispute resolution. He previously was a member of the New Mexico Court of Appeals.
Steven Peyer has joined the newly opened Il Bosco Italian Country Kitchen at the La Bella Vita Lifestyle Center as Executive Chef. Peyer is a chef, farmer and a pioneer in the infancy of the farm to table and slow food movements and previously worked at the River Cafe in London; Chez Panisse in Berkley, Calif.; Cafe Lago in Seattle; and opened Peter Lowell’s and Forchetta Bastoni in Sebastopol, Calif.
Renee Ennis has joined TriCore Reference Laboratories as chief financial officer (CFO). Ennis previously worked at TriCore for 10 years as the chief financial officer, before working as the vice president and CFO of PDS at Presbyterian Healthcare Services for three years. She is rejoining TriCore and replacing TriCore’s previous CFO, Kent Gordon.
Leadership New Mexico have announced the recipients of their Distinguished Alumnus Award and the Distinguished Leadership Award which were presented during the 2018 Leadership New Mexico Annual Awards Dinner, held on May 4. Paul DiPaola, the New Mexico regional president at U.S. Bank has received the Distinguished Alumnus Award; and Phil Bryson, trainer and owner of On the Edge Productions has received the Distinguished Leadership Award.

Ted Ramirez of Las Cruces has been elected president of the New Mexico State Mediation Association. The statewide association was created to promote the concept of mediation as a method of resolving both conflicts and disputes. In addition, the association charter includes the education of the general public on what mediation is, the benefits of mediation and provides a network of information exchange possibilities for the mediation community in New Mexico. Ramirez has a private practice in Las Cruces that serves New Mexico and West Texas communities and has over 40 years’ experience in overall business financial responsibility and management. He is certified in mediation, arbitration, negotiation and offers ombudsman services to private and government entities.
