Kirtland Federal names new president

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Tom Shoemaker has been named president and CEO of Kirtland Federal Credit Union.

Shoemaker was named interim president and CEO last October and has been leading the credit union since then. He has served for more than 24 years with the credit union and more than 40 years in banking.

Kirtland FCU has assets of nearly $800 million and serves nearly 48,000 members from four branch locations in Albuquerque.

“The whirlwind of change that has brought me to this position of President and CEO has been both refreshing and exciting,” said Shoemaker. “After spending 24 years at Kirtland FCU in a variety of positions and areas, I am prepared and honored to lead this storied credit union.”
