McKinnon Center for Management opens

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Windy conditions and unseasonably warm temperatures Friday afternoon didn’t prevent hundreds of people from turning out for the dedication ceremony of the University of New Mexico’s new business building.

The courtyard of the four-story, $24.4 million McKinnon Center for Management at the Anderson School was packed with donors, dignitaries, faculty, staff and students, many who were anxious to tour the technologically advanced facility. Singled out for their lead gift of $5 million were Ian and Sonnet McKinnon, who grew up in Albuquerque and whose philanthropy helped kickstart the planning process. Read more about the story behind the facility in Monday’s Business Outlook.
