Elizabeth Ford has joined Vein Center of New Mexico as the new practice executive. Ford previously was the operations manager for the Lovelace Cancer Center for 11 years, formerly known as Hematology Oncology Associates. She has 20 years’ experience in leadership roles with medical practices in Albuquerque. She is a member of the New Mexico Medical Group Managers Association, holding positions of past president, vice president and membership chair.
Kimberly Antos has joined the New Mexico VA Health Care System (NMVAHCS) as chief, voluntary service and public affairs operations. Antos, a U.S. Army veteran, previously worked for the Department of Defense in Fort Meade, Md., as the deputy director, digital engagement division.
Lovelace Medical Group has hired two new providers. They are:
Mahendra M. Shah, M.D., F.A.C.P., board certified internal medicine, medical oncology and hematology physician. Shah has over 40 years’ experience in the medical field. He has a medical degree and completed his internship, both from Baroda Medical College in India; completed a residency at Cook County Hospital; and completed at fellowship in medical oncology and hematology at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Hospital. Shah is a member of the American Medical Association, American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.
Kimberly Bynum, FNP, family nurse practitioner at the Lovelace Medical Group’s Independence Square location at Jefferson and Osuna NE. Bynum has 10 years’ experience as a family nurse practitioner and has a varied clinical background in diagnoses, treatment, prescription and follow-up with patients from newborns to geriatrics. She has a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Texas Medical Branch; and a master’s degree in nursing from Texas A&M University. Bynum is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Aaron Jaramillo has joined AQUILA as vice president of business development. Jaramillo has 23 years’ experience in providing IT solutions to corporations. He has a bachelor’s degree in IT management from the University of Phoenix.

Alana D. Best, audit associate. Best previously worked as the controller at Trinidad State Junior College. She has a master’s degree in accounting. and is currently working on a master’s degree in business administration from Western Governor’s University. Best is a student member of both the AICPA and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE).
Joshua Lohman Shainin, CPA, audit associate. Lohman Shainin has three years’ experience as a senior defined benefits analyst at Fidelity Investments; and also has prior experience as a staff accountant for a local CPA firm. He has a bachelor’s degree in economics and a master’s degree in business administration, both from the University of New Mexico. Lohman Shainin also serves as a student assistant/supervisor for UNM’s Small Business Assistance Program.

They are Justin Zoldaz, senior territory manager for New Mexico at Liberty Mutual; Robert Meza, senior account executive at Presbyterian Health Plan; Robert Sneed,, general manager at Power Ford; and Christopher Grimley, market director for Lowe’s Home Improvement Centers.

Alvarez is a practicing psychotherapist at ABQ Psychiatry & Psychology.

Nate Gentry, an Albuquerque attorney who is completing his final term in the New Mexico Legislature this year, has been appointed to the New Mexico Judicial Performance Evaluation Commission (NMJPEC), as its newest member. Gentry was first elected to the state Legislature in 2010, and was elected Republican whip in 2012, majority floor leader in 2014 and Republican floor leader in 2016. Prior to his legislative experience, he was counsel to the U.S. Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee from 2004-2007, focusing on water, land, and oil and gas issues. He has a bachelor’s degree from Rhodes College; and an law degree from UNM.

Meta C. Hirschl, vice president of information services. Hirschl has worked as the manager of software applications at Adelante since 2015 and developed and managed Adelante’s Wellness Referral Center. She is also a certified salesforce administrator.
Mike P. Smith, director of information technology and communications. Smith has over 40 years’ experience in the information technology field and joined Adelante in 2015 as a senior information technology technician and was subsequently promoted to manager of information technology.
