William Shatner won’t be coming to Albuquerque for a June 20 date at the Kiva Auditorium.

According to, the event has been canceled.

Refunds at Point of Purchase only. Internet & Phone orders will automatically be canceled and refunded, according to a post on the site.

There is no reason for the cancellation other than the legendary actor tweeting a response to a fan on May 17.

Joanne Swanson Kagan tweeted “@WilliamShatner bummed the Kiva Auditorium show is cancelled. Are you OK?”

Shatner then tweeted “I didn’t cancel it; they did. I’m fine.” with a thumbs up emoji at the end.

The cancellation comes days after Shatner’s May 11 tweet that he’ll be in Albuquerque on June 20.

Shatner became a cultural icon for his portrayal of James T. Kirk, captain of the USS Enterprise, in the “Star Trek” franchise.

The actor has written a series of books chronicling his experiences playing Captain Kirk and being a part of “Star Trek,” and has co-written several novels set in the “Star Trek” universe.
