Boxing Bear is teaming up with other craft artisans for it its Boxing Bear Block Party.
“We have really enjoyed doing collaborations with other kinds of craft vendors and try to work with establishments that provide interesting and unique flavors to the local economy,” said Boxing Bear partner Kevin Davis. “Thinking about how the New Mexico microbrew scene has quality micro breweries doing great stuff, we thought we could collaborate with craft vendors doing the same thing and maybe some craft food places. It makes for a good mix of craft culture to come together with each other on the patio and our facility here inside Boxing Bear.”
Participating in the event will be Bosque Azul merchandising, which will bring its handcrafted jewelry, and members of High Desert Flame Works, who will show off their glass blowing skills. Their glass creations will be available for purchase. CCR Roasters will serve its fresh roasted corn on the cob. Prosum Roasters will bring its exceptional handcrafted coffees, and Fat City will showcase its delicious confections. D’Santi Nava and his trio will provide live music.
The dog-friendly Boxing Bear did not forget its four-legged friends. Pawsitively Appetizing will have its gourmet pet treats available.
“We love dogs here at Boxing Bear,” Davis said. “We’re dog-friendly and thought we have to have something here to make dogs happy here too.”
Boxing Bear will make its patrons happy with the highly anticipated tapping of its Black and Blue Tart, which also will be available in bottles. The brewery also will tap some other special limited-release beers, which head brewer and co-owner Justin Hamilton wants to keep a surprise.
