APD: Man struck, killed by vehicle in NE Albuquerque

A man is dead after being struck by a vehicle at a northeast Albuquerque intersection Friday night, according to a police spokesman.

Officer Daren DeAguero said the man was hit near Menaul and University NE and died at the scene.

He said the area is shut down while police investigate.

DeAguero did not identify the man or say what led to the crash.
