Carlsbad Municipal Schools has been selected to participate in a nationwide initiative, receiving a matching fund of $1 million over a four-year period.
The district will participate in the Breakthrough Results Fund administered by Achievement Network (ANet), which is a nonprofit.
“School leaders and teachers are asked to do so much every day. ANet’s partnership is designed not to ask them to do more but to help them make the most effective use of their very precious time,” said Mora Segal, CEO of ANet, in a news release.
“We are honored to be working alongside these systems over the next four years to build on schools’ strengths and achieve excellence for all students.”
According to ANet’s website, the organization will support up to six school districts and charter management organizations and develop a long-term partnership.
As part of the Breakthrough Results Fund program, 10 schools will receive “full partnership support,” which includes coaching, instructional tools, interim assessments and professional learning.
“School leaders and teachers strive to provide quality instruction for all our students. By partnering with ANet, CMS will be able to provide strategic assessments, standards-aligned materials, and meaningful professional learning for our teachers,” said district superintendent Greg Rodríguez, Ph.D., in the release.
