Las Vegas Shooting Ends in Suicide

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A man in Las Vegas, N.M., is dead after he shot a woman and another man Sunday morning, then turned the gun on himself, the Las Vegas Police Department said.

Barney Vigil tried to shoot Nadine Vigil in the head at about 3 a.m. Sunday, but she shielded herself and was shot in the hand, said Las Vegas Deputy Chief Eugene Garcia.

Garcia said Barney Vigil then shot Jared Isbel twice, and then shot himself fatally in the head.

Nadine Vigil was treated and released for her injuries, and Isbel remains in stable condition, Carcia said.

Other information, including details about the relationship between Barney Vigil and Nadine Vigil, as well as more details about the confrontation, were unavailable Sunday night.
