Pork & Brew and pig races, too

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The 15th annual Pork & Brew, a mix of barbecue, beer and racing pigs, continues today at the Santa Ana Star Casino.

Galloping Grace Youth Ranch junior leader Sam Bigger, 13, holds hands with Brooke Scheer, 3, as they chase pigs down the track during the Pork & Brew’s pig races on Saturday.

The three-day event features more than 20 microbrews on tap, some of the best barbecue vendors from around the region and the Galloping Grace Youth Ranch with its petting zoo and pig races.

New this year are Old West skits and shootouts by the New Mexico Gunfighter’s Association.

Pork & Brew, which was named the 2017 Event of the Year by the New Mexico Hospitality Association, runs today from noon to 6 p.m.
