‘Great Outdoors’: Sandia Resort & Casino giving away Toyota truck, fishing boat and trailer

Try your luck during “The Great Outdoors Giveaway” for a chance to win a Toyota Tacoma truck or a fishing boat and trailer. Patrons can earn drawing tickets now through July 28. Guests also get a shot at cash and free play on Saturday, July 7 and 21. The grand prize drawing for the boat and trailer happens on July 14. The Toyota Tacoma drawing takes place on July 28.

Play using your Peaks Rewards card on July 13 and 27 and be eligible for your share of $777 in free play every seven minutes for seven hours from 5 p.m. to midnight.

Sandia Bingo is giving you an opportunity to get out of the heat on an Alaska cruise. Collect cards now through July 21 to be part of the special game evening session on July 21. Night owls can enjoy “Bingo After Dark” on Saturday, July 7, and July 21. The all-electronic late-night session starts at 11:15 p.m. Registers open at 10 p.m.

Attention, poker enthusiasts: Registration for the $10,000 guaranteed VIP Players Tournament opens for all players at 8 a.m. Monday, July 9. There is a $200 buy-in and a $25 entry fee. The tournament takes place at noon July 21.

Sandia has plenty of entertainment coming up in its newly renovated amphitheater. The acoustically enhanced amphitheater, now features an enlarged shaded concourse and the addition of more than 4,100 square feet of enclosed, air conditioned and retail space, according to a Sandia news release. The amphitheater seats more than 4,100 guests and features new comfortable chairs. Guests will notice shorter lines at the amphitheater’s improved restrooms and expanded concessions, the release adds.

Gabriel Iglesias may have sold out the first show tonight, but there is a lot more entertainment lined up. Brother and sister duo Donny and Marie Osmond will get a little bit country and a little bit rock ‘n’ roll on July 21. Country star Trace Adkins will bring his “How Did We Get Here” tour to the amphitheater on Sept. 15. Rock out with Rick Springfield, Loverboy, Greg Kihn and Tommy Tutone on Aug. 6, and head to the “Dark Side of the Moon” during The Australian Pink Floyd Show on Sept. 21.
