ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Albuquerque Fire Rescue has stopped a “relatively small” fire in the bosque near Central Avenue from spreading, AFR spokesman Tom Ruiz said.

The call about the fire came in just after 3 p.m. near Central and Sunset, prompting 13 trucks from five different departments to respond.

Ruiz said the fire was about 1/2 acre in size but was not, as of about 4:30, getting bigger, nor was it expected to.
