Trio to play in Pacific Coast Amateur

Isaac Merry of Las Cruces, Chandler Smith-Stetson of Rio Rancho and El Paso’s Greg Yellin have been selected to represent Team Sun Country at the Pacific Coast Amateur Championship, one of the top national amateur events.

The four-day event takes place July 24-27 at The Olympic Club in San Francisco (home to five U.S. Opens, including the last in 2012).

Merry, a recent graduate of New Mexico State, received an automatic invitation due to his New Mexico-West Texas Amateur Championship victory last week.

Smith-Stetson and Yellin were both at-large invites by the Sun Country Amateur Golf Association and Pacific Coast trustees.
