Homicide detectives investigate man’s body found in arroyo

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Homicide detectives are investigating after a man’s body was found in an arroyo in northeast Albuquerque Sunday morning, a spokesman for the Albuquerque Police Department said.

Shortly after 6 a.m. officers received a call about a suspicious person who was face down and not moving in the water of the arroyo near Montgomery and Interstate 25, officer Simon Drobik said.

The man was dead when officers arrived, and a violent crimes call out was initiated, Drobik said.

Drobik did not identify the man, or say how the man died.
