Inn of the Mountain Gods offers movies, music, comedy

Fun on and off the gambling floor is happening at Inn of the Mountain Gods.

Rozanna M. MartinezOn Sunday, July 29, pack up the entire family and head to “Sunday Under the Stars,” a free, family-friendly movie night that begins at 8 p.m. on the Inn of the Mountain Gods lawn. Guests are encouraged to bring low-back chairs and blankets to relax and stretch out on. The animated film “Coco” will be shown. The movie is about an aspiring musician named Miguel who is confronted with his family’s ancestral ban on music. He enters the Land of the Dead to find his great-great-grandfather, a legendary singer, according to the movie website

Next month, “Sunday Under the Stars” will feature “Annie” on Aug. 5 and “Brother Bear” on Aug. 12.

Inn of the Mountain Gods is helping adults get through the week with “Laugh Out Loud” comedy night at 7 p.m. Wednesdays inside Club 49. Two professional comedians will take the stage during the event. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and tickets are $5 at the door.

Love to sing? Head back to Club 49 on Thursdays for a night of karaoke. Get behind the microphone or just watch other guests sing their hearts out. Doors open at 7:30 p.m., and karaoke starts at 8 p.m.

Shake off the workweek on Friday and Saturday night at Club 49. Some of the top musical acts in the Southwest will take the stage. Dance the night away with DJ One tonight and Saturday, July 28. The 1852 Treaty Room is the place for you if you’re looking for late-night entertainment and cocktails. The lounge features live music from 8 p.m. to midnight on Fridays. Enjoy the sounds of George Hernandez tonight.

Ignite your senses with the breathtaking view from Wendell’s. The lounge has live music from 8 p.m. to midnight every Saturday, as well as delicious appetizers, martinis, margaritas and cocktails.

During the week, head into Inn of the Mountain Gods for Bingo at Club 49 Wednesdays through Sundays. Players can enjoy a bite to eat as well as their favorite alcoholic or soft drink. Paper and electronic bingo packages are available, as well as daubers for purchase. Come in from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays and at 1 p.m., 4 p.m., and 6 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Bingo buy-in sales open 30 minutes before games start. There will be 11 games each session.

Win big during the Tuesday slot tournaments. Play your favorite slot machines from 6 to 7:50 p.m. to earn entries into the tournament to win your share of $4,000 in cash and Free Spirit play.
