Monday: Isotopes 1B Jordan Patterson blasted a record-tying home run but visiting New Orleans spoiled the celebration with a 7-2 win in front of an announced 7,476 fans.
Patterson launched his 20th home run of the season, a solo shot to right field, in the fourth inning. It was his 60th as an Isotope, tying Jason Wood’s franchise standard. Patterson had not homered since July 1, a stretch of 77 at-bats.
The Baby Cakes, meanwhile, racked up 14 hits to beat Albuquerque for the third straight night. Austin Dean went 3-for-4 with two doubles and a two-run single for New Orleans.
The Isotopes offense stranded 11 runners on the night while going 1-for-9 with runners in scoring position.
On the mound, Peter Lambert fell to 2-3 for the season. He allowed four runs over 5⅓ innings of work. The 21-year-old struck out six and walked two.
The Isotopes surpassed 9 million in home attendance over 16 seasons.
