Former University of New Mexico running back Jhurell Pressley has signed with the NFL’s New York Giants, it was reported on Monday.
Pressley, who rushed for 2,725 yards with 24 touchdowns during his UNM career, joins former UNM wide receiver Marquis Bundy on the Giants roster. Pressley and Bundy both played for the Lobos from 2012-15.
Pressley initially signed a free-agent contract with Minnesota in 2016 and later had stints with Green Bay and Atlanta. He has yet to play in a regular-season NFL game.
With Pressley’s signing, seven former UNM players are in NFL camps as of Monday: Pressley, Bundy, veteran cornerback Glover Quin (2006-08, Detroit), veteran offensive lineman Byron Bell (2007-10,Green Bay), kicker Jason Sanders (2014-17, Miami), wide receiver Lamar Jordan (2014-17, Atlanta) and punter Corey Bojorquez (2016-17), New England.
