Women’s soccer: Lobos, Aggies host games Sunday

The University of New Mexico soccer women try to make it a two-game sweep of their home stand when they host Idaho State Sunday at 1 p.m.

The Lobos (1-1) got into the win column Friday with a 4-2 win over Pacific in the opener of a men’s-women’s doubleheader. On the back end, the UNM men topped No. 22 Seattle, also 4-3.

On Saturday, UNM deputy athletic director Brad Hutchins tweeted that since Friday’s doubleheader was a single session admission, the paid attendance would be the same for both programs — 2,314, he tweeted.

UNM’s original box scores listed attendances of 603 for the women’s game and 1,837 for the men.

NMSU: The 0-3 Aggie women get their turn at Pacific on Sunday in Las Cruces, kickoff also at 1 p.m.
