TRAFFIC: Westbound I-40 From San Mateo To Carlisle

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Crews will be working on landscaping in the area from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday this week.

 

 

There will be activity along the interstate, on the shoulders, and at the Carlisle westbound onramp.

 

Here are the other road advisories in this week’s state Department of Transportation traffic report:

 

 

— Weekdays from 8:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., eastbound N.M. 333 from Carmella Drive to Monticello Drive in Carñuel will be reduced to one lane in short intervals moving from west to east as a water line installation project progresses. Flagmen will be moving drivers through the zone.

 

— Weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., eastbound Paseo del Norte at Jefferson will have various single lane closures for utility installation. There will also be single-lane closures on Jefferson during this time.

 

— From 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. Tuesday, westbound U.S. 550 at Santa Ana Road will have the right lane closed for utility installation.

 

— Weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., both directions of Alameda from Washington to the I-25 east frontage road will have various single right lane closures, in only one direction at a time, to install utilities.

 

— Weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Corrales Road from West Meadowlark to Old Church Road will be reduced to one lane only at various times during this period for sewer line installation. There will also be activity on the shoulders. Flagmen will be on site to move traffic through the work zone, as needed.

 

— Weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., both directions of N.M. 313 from Avenida De Bernalillo to Calle De Presidente at Bernalillo will have various single lane closures for streetscape project.

 

— Weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Big I frontage road system will see various lane closures in all directions for landscape project.

 

Here is the DOT’s update on various major projects taking place in the metro area:


Interstate 40/West Central/Paseo del Volcan Interstate and Interchange Reconstruction Project

While
shoulder work is continuing, the project has been partially suspended.
Crews are waiting for warmer temperatures so final paving and striping
can take place.

 

Roy Road/N.M. 313 Diversion Channel Bridge Reconstruction Project

Until further notice, southbound N.M. 313 at Roy Road will have the
right lane closed for bridge reconstruction. Traffic over the diversion
channel will be reduced to one lane each direction and limited to
traffic under five tons. Heavy truck traffic should use Alameda as an
alternate route. Use caution and reduce your speed through the work
zone.

 

Roy Road/N.M. 313 Roundabout Construction Project

This work is scheduled to take place seven days a week from 7 a.m.
to 5 p.m. through July 10. A roundabout type intersection is being
built. Drivers could run into flagging operations and detours during
this ongoing phase of work. Use caution and reduce your speed.

 

Interstate 25/Gibson to Rio Bravo Interstate Improvement Project

This project has been partially suspended. Crews are waiting for warmer weather so final final paving can take place.

 

Interstate 25/Tramway to Bernalillo Interstate Reconstruction Project

Until
further notice, southbound I-25 traffic will share the northbound lanes
through the project area, with two lanes in each direction. The speed
limit in the project area has been reduced to 55 mph and a double fine
zone is in effect. Enhanced law enforcement will be in place throughout
the project. 

 

Paseo del Volcan, Iris to U.S. 550 Construction Project

Through early June, both directions of U.S. 550 from Mile Marker 3 to 4 — in the vicinity of Sprint Boulevard — will be reduced to one
lane each way for intersection improvements.
