Fans packed Isleta Amphitheater on Wednesday night to watch Journey and Def Leppard in Albuquerque.
But Mother Nature had another plan. Halfway through Journey’s set, officials postponed the show due to the high winds at the venue.
Stage crews worked diligently to safely bring down monitors, lights and speakers, which were banging into each other due to the wind.
Attendees in several of the front rows were asked to relocate while the monitors and gear were brought down.
Isleta Amphitheater released the statement via its Facebook page, “Unfortunately the weather has prevented us from continuing tonight show for safety reasons. Stay tuned for updates tomorrow regarding the show.”
