Man killed near Lomas and San Mateo

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Police are looking for a white SUV after a man was found dead late Sunday near Lomas and San Mateo.

Officer Simon Drobik said Monday morning that police were dispatched to 701 Monroe NE after receiving reports that shots were fired in the area. Later calls reported that a person had been shot and was on the ground near the intersection of Marble and Monroe.

“When officers arrived on scene, they noticed a male subject with trauma to his head and was pronounced deceased at the scene,” Drobik said.

Several witnesses were interviewed, and police are now looking for a “white SUV type vehicle that was seen leaving the scene at the time shots were reported.”
