ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Police are searching for a man who is possibly armed after they say he fled a crash in northeast Albuquerque Wednesday afternoon, according to a police spokesman.
Albuquerque police spokesman Simon Drobik said the man ran from a crash at Jefferson and McLeod NE, and police have locked down the area as they look for him.
“The subject is possibly armed and residents should shelter in place,” Drobik said.
Drobik did not say what led to the crash or if anyone was injured.
Three cars could be seen crashed into one another at the intersection of Jefferson and Mcleod NE, a man standing nearby said he was the owner of one the vehicles.
The man said a car with at least three people crashed into him at the light and fled on foot.
