ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The FBI has arrested three men who they say killed a man during an armed robbery on the Isleta Pueblo last February.

FBI spokesman Frank Fisher said Richard Jojola Jr., 27, Michael Anthony Abeita, 25, and Jason Kenneth Abeita, 32, face charges in the Feb. 6 slaying of 32-year-old Ronald Moquino.

According to an indictment filed Tuesday in U.S. District Court, the three planned to rob Moquino, a drug dealer.

Agents say Jason Abeita went into Moquino’s home and confirmed he was there before alerting the other two, who came in wearing dark clothes and ski masks.

According to the complaint, Jojola fired a gun multiple times during the robbery, hitting Jason Abeita in the back and Moquino in the shoulder, killing him.

The FBI, Bureau of Indian Affairs and Isleta Police took Jojola and Michael Abeita into custody Wednesday, the FBI said. Jason Abeita was already in jail.
