Sandia Resort & Casino’s promotions include chance to win $777 in free play

Try your luck and possibly start the new year richer by playing lucrative promotions this January at Sandia Resort & Casino.

Rozanna M. MartinezTonight and Jan. 25, get your chance to win a share of $777 in free play every seven minutes for seven hours between 5 p.m. and midnight. Guests must actively be playing with their Peak Rewards cards for a chance to win.

Saturdays are reserved for the “Peak-O” promotion. Win up to $6,000 playing the promotion on Saturday, Jan. 12, 19 and 26. Drawings will be held every 30 minutes from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. There will be five chances to win and players can double their prize on their last “Peak-O” chip. The promotion is open to Peak Rewards Club members.

Sandia started its “Peaking the Points” promotion on Jan. 6. It continues on Sunday, Jan. 13, 20 and 27. Visit every consecutive Sunday between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. to earn up to five times the points. Earn two times the points for the first Sunday, three times the points for the second Sunday, four times the points on the third Sunday and five times the points on the final Sunday. Players must come in every consecutive Sunday for their point multiplier to increase. Swipe your Peak Rewards card at any promotional kiosk to activate your point multiplier.

Rack up the points during “2 for Tuesday” at Sandia. Earn two times the points playing slots and table games from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Tuesdays this month. Swipe your players card at any promotional kiosk to be eligible.

Patrons ages 50 and older who are part of Sandia’s Club Respect can earn three times the points while playing their preferred slots and tables from 8 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. on Wednesdays. Club Respect members can swipe their cards at any promotional kiosk to be eligible. Club Respect patrons can be part of “$50 Hot Seat Drawings” held each hour from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. each Wednesday.

Hungry Club Respect members save $6 off one buffet on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and the lunch buffet on Fridays, which excludes the seafood buffet. The offer can be redeemed more than once per day per cardholder.

There are plenty of promotions for poker players this January.

Take part in the Saturday “Hot Seat Drawings” every two hours from 12:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, 19, and 26. Players have a chance to win their share of $14,400 in cash or slot free play. More hot seat drawings will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays through Jan. 31. Drawings will be held every two hours from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Two winners will be selected during each drawing to win $200 and $100 in cash.

The “Aces Cracked” bonus takes place from midnight Sunday to 7:59 a.m. Tuesday. Cracked Aces win $50 in slot free play. To be part of the poker promotions, players must make sure they are clocked in. Players must be Peak Rewards members to participate.

Sandia will host 2019 new weekly poker tournaments. The “$60 Tuesday Tournament” starts at 7 p.m. It will have a $50 buy-in and a $10 entry fee. The “Wednesday Dash for Cash Tournament” begins at 7 p.m. There is a $30 buy-in and a $5 entry fee. The “Friday More Bang for Your Buck Tournament” begins at 7 p.m. There is a $90 buy-in and a $10 entry fee.

It might be a few weeks away, but make plans now to watch the big game at Sandia on Feb. 3. The place gets packed so make sure to arrive early to the casino’s “Super Party Bowl Bash.” Watch the Super Bowl with former Dallas Cowboys player Billy Joe DuPree; Dwight Hicks, formerly of the San Francisco 49ers; and Everson Walls of the New York Giants.
