ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A person was shot in the leg Wednesday afternoon in northeast Albuquerque, according to an Albuquerque police spokesperson.

APD Officer Simon Drobik said the shooting happened in the 3200 block of Montgomery, near Interstate 25.

“An individual has been shot in the leg, non-life threatening at this time,” he said. “We are currently conducting an investigation. Drivers should avoid the area.”

Drobik did not give the victim’s gender, say if police have a suspect in custody or what led to the shooting.
