Winning Slice: Black Mesa Casino gives guests a chance at extra cash

Select the right slices of pie for your chance to win up to $1,200 at Black Mesa Casino, on San Felipe Pueblo. Drawings will be held at 3, 5 and 7 p.m. every Sunday this month.

Some lucky guests will turn a $1 bill into $100 simply by stopping by the Black Mesa Players Club on Feb. 18. Patrons can pick up a $1 bill and an entry ticket on that day. Drawings will then be held for cash prizes from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Feb. 22. All winners must be present to win. Visit the Players Club for more information.

Qualify for some easy cash during hot seat drawings from 7 to 10 p.m. on Feb. 9, 15, and 23. Simply have your players card properly inserted in the gaming machine being played at the time of the drawing to be eligible. Patrons have a chance to win a top prize of $300.

Do not miss out on the “Full Moon Fortune” on Feb. 19 at Black Mesa Casino. Drawings will be held between 7 and 10 p.m. for a chance to win a top prize of $1,000. Guests qualify for the drawing when they play their favorite gaming machine at the time of the drawing using their Players Club card.

SANTA ANA STAR CASINO HOTEL: Celebrate Valentine’s Day with a “Sweetheart Special” at Santa Ana Star Casino Hotel.

The lovely special features a hotel stay, dining and entertainment for $199. Spend the night in a luxurious king or double queen room at the new hotel. Each room offers “the perfect blend of style and sophistication” for couples, according to a Santa Ana Star Casino Hotel news release. Couples will be treated with in-room chocolate-covered strawberries and a split of sparkling wine. The package also includes entry for two into the Thursday Night Comedy show on Feb. 14 at The Stage, inside the casino. Couples will also receive a $100 food credit to enjoy at the Juniper Steakhouse. The new steakhouse offers “elegance with affordability” and delivers an upscale culinary experience, according to the news release.

The romantic dinner will include a four-course meal of smoked halibut, apple wood-smoked duck breast salad, and a choice of grilled beef tenderloin or crusted rack of lamb. A decadent chocolate dessert trio made of chocolate pavé, dark bittersweet chocolate mousse and chocolate Kahlua genoise will complete the dinner.
