Volaris adds ABQ-Chihuahua flight

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Volaris airlines announced Friday it will offer a non-stop flight from the Albuquerque International Sunport to Chihuahua Mexico beginning June 18.

According to a news release, flights will originate in Chihuahua at 10:37 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, landing in Albuquerque at 12:02 p.m. Flights will depart from Albuquerque those days at 1:32 p.m. and land in Chihuahua at 2:57 p.m.

Volaris began service between Albuquerque and Guadalajara, Mexico in November, the first international service from the Sunport since AeroMexico ended service to Chihuahua City in 2009.

Volaris offers more than 173 routes to 69 airports in Mexico, the United States, Guatemala, Costa Rica, EL Salvador, Nicaragua.
