Zacatecas in Nob Hill sold

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Zacatecas Tacos + Tequila + Bourbon, a popular Mexican restaurant in Nob Hill, has been sold.

Mark Kiffin, executive chef and owner, said Tuesday he has sold the restaurant but would not elaborate on the deal. He said an announcement of some sort could be forthcoming.

Kiffin also said the sale was a business decision unrelated to the ART construction. The restaurant had been in business seven years.

“I have no blame and no remorse, we did well, but like homes or stocks, you sometimes sell and move on,” he said in an email.

Kiffin also owns The Compound restaurant on Canyon Road in Santa Fe. He said he has retained the Zacatecas brand and “would love to do my concept up here in Santa Fe.”
