Eli Chuha and Trevelin Queen scored 14 points each to lead the New Mexico State University men’s basketball team to an 80-42 nonconference win over Division II Texas A&M International in front of 4,399 at the Pan American Center on Tuesday.
The Aggies (23-4) outrebounded TAMIU, 48-30, with Mohamed Thiam leading the way with 11 boards.
JoJo Zamora added 11 points and Clayton Henry scored eight points for NMSU, which never trailed to win its 12th straight game.
The Aggies will play host to Texas Rio Grande Valley on Saturday at 4 pm.
With a win, the Aggies can clinch at least a share of the Western Athletic Conference regular-season title and the No. 1 WAC Tournament seed. NMSU is 11-1 in the WAC.
