The University of New Mexico track and field team added four more All-Americans to the program’s all-time list, with a total of seven All-America honors produced at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships over the weekend.
Of the seven, four were first-team distinction and three were second team.
Weini Kelati led the Lobos with two first-team honors with a runner-up finish in the 5,000-meters and a third-place result in the 3,000. Ednah Kurgat and Charlotte Prouse each earned one first-team all-America and one second-team All-America accolade for their performances in the 5,000 and 3,000, respectively.
Rounding out the honors for UNM was Michael Wilson, who earned a second-team All-America nod in the 800.
Participants who finished in the top-8 of their individual events were named first-team All-Americans, while those who finished ninth through 16 were named second-team all-Americans.
