CBS Television Studios is bringing its latest project to Albuquerque.

According to the New Mexico Film Office, “Interrogation” began principal photography in Albuquerque for a 10-episode season.

The series is a true-crime drama where the viewer becomes the detective.

It is based on a true story that spanned more than 30 years, in which a young man was charged and convicted of brutally murdering his mother.

The series will air on CBS’s All Access and the network will experiment with its release pattern.

According to CBS, the first nine episodes will be available to watch in any order and the season finale will be released at a later date.

The series stars Peter Sarsgaard, Kyle Gallner, Kodi Smit-McPhee and David Strathairn.

According to the Internet Movie Database, Vincent D’Onofrio, Ellen Humphreys and Melinda McGraw are also in the cast.

“This is another great example of how New Mexico is becoming a destination for both film and television production. These are good jobs that are helping to diversify our economy,” said New Mexico Economic Development Department Cabinet Secretary Alicia J. Keyes.

According to the film office, the production will employ more than 150 New Mexico crew members and approximately 2,500 New Mexico background talent – about 250 per episode.

Gallner has been documenting the beginning of his five-month stint working in New Mexico on his Instagram page.

He went hiking with his dog in the snow for the first time.

He posted, “Cactuses and snowewee. First New Mexico hike” on March 3.

The series is co-created by Anders Weidmann and John Mankiewicz, who both serve as executive producers, alongside Henrik Bastin and Melissa Aouate.

Directing the series is Ernest Dickerson and Patrick Cady.

Albuquerque Mayor Tim Keller says the TV/film industry is a big part of the city’s creative economy.

“The opportunities it is bringing to our workforce and rippled effects will add even more momentum to our work to build an economy that works for everyone,” Keller said.
