Man shot, critically injured at east Central motel Sunday

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Albuquerque Police Department detectives are investigating after a man was shot and critically injured at an east Central motel Sunday evening.

Officer Simon Drobik, an APD spokesman, said police were called to a shooting in the parking lot of the Mountain View Motel on Central near Dorado.

“Officers arrived on scene and began providing first aid to a male with multiple gunshot wounds,” he wrote in an email. “Rescue personal arrived on scene and took the male to a local hospital for treatment of his wounds where he is said to be in critical condition.”

He said no suspects have been identified and detectives conducted interviews with witnesses.
