Isotopes game postponed; doubleheader set for Thursday

Hail and cold temperatures late Wednesday afternoon rendered Isotopes Park unplayable. The Reno-Albuquerque game was postponed as a result, and the two teams will play a Thursday doubleheader. (Albuquerque Isotopes photo)

Wednesday night’s game between the Albuquerque Isotopes and Reno Aces has been postponed due to inclement weather. A mid-afternoon hail storm and cold temperatures rendered the field unplayable.

The game will be made up Thursday, as part of a doubleheader beginning at 4:35 p.m. (gates open at 3:30 p.m.) There will be two seven-inning games with a 30-minute break between the two contests.

The thousands of hot dogs that were prepared for Wednesday night’s scheduled 50-cent Hot Dog Night will be donated to The Good Shepherd Center.

Tickets for Wednesday’s game can be used as a rain check for any future 2019 Isotopes home game, excluding July 4 (for a ticket of equal or lesser value). Tickets can be exchanged at the Isotopes Park box office during its regular business hours.

THURSDAY: Vs. Reno (DH), 4:35 p.m.

610 AM/95.9 FM

Probables: Isotopes LHP Evan Grills (1-1, 6.48) and Ryan Castellani (1-0, 2.79) vs. Aces RHP Jon Duplantier (0-0, 0.00) and LHP Anthony Vasquez (0-0, 4.50). Two 7-inning games, gates open at 3:30 p.m.
