TRAFFIC: I-40/San Mateo Work

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A landscaping project will close some lanes.

 

 

 

 

Through Wednesday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., westbound I-40 from San Mateo to
Carlisle will have the right lane closed for landscaping, the state Department of Transportation says in its latest traffic report.

Also, through Wednesday, June 30, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily, San Mateo at I-40 will have various lane closures for the same work.

Drivers are advised to be alert for truck activity in the median lanes
and on the ramps at the intersection.

 

Here are some other advisories or updates in this week’s traffic report:

— Wednesday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., both directions of N.M. 528 between Sara and Peggy Roads in Rio Rancho will
have the left lane closed for overhead lighting repair.

— Through Tuesday, June 8, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily, southbound Coors at Dellyne will have the right lane closed
for the construction of a bus stop.

— Tuesday through Thursday, June 10, from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays, westbound Paseo del Norte to the Coors northbound
ramp
will have utility work activity on the shoulder.

 — Through Tuesday, June 15, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays, Corrales Road from West Meadowlark to Old
Church Road
will be reduced to one lane only at various times
during these hours for sewer line installation. There also will be activity on the shoulders. Flagmen will be on site to move traffic
through the work zone, as needed.

—  Through the end of July, from 8:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays, eastbound N.M. 333 from Carmella Drive to
Monticello Drive in Carñuel
will be reduced to one lane in short
intervals moving from west to east as a water line installation project
progresses. Flagmen will be on site to move traffic through the work
zone.

— Through Friday, June 11, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, both
directions of N.M. 165 from Mile Marker 5.2 to 9 in Placitas
will have
various lane closures for a paving operation. A pilot car will be on
site to move traffic through the work zone. Expect minor delays.

 

UPDATES:

— Interstate 40/West Central/Paseo del Volcan Interstate and Interchange Reconstruction

The project is expected to restart within the next two weeks. Warmer weather was needed for final paving and striping work.

— Roy Road/N.M. 313 Diversion Channel Bridge Reconstruction

Until further notice, southbound N.M. 313 at Roy Road will have the right lane closed for bridge reconstruction. Traffic over the diversion channel will be reduced to one lane in each direction. Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed.

— Roy Road/N.M. 313 Roundabout Construction Project

Through July 10, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days a week, the intersection will have construction activity to build new roundabout intersection. Expect flagging operations during the construction of detours. Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speeds.

 — Interstate 25/Gibson to Rio Bravo Interstate Improvement Project

The project is expected to resume about June 21. Warmer weather was needed for final paving work to take place. All traffic lanes and ramps are fully operational.
