COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — A school security guard has been filmed grabbing and pulling a protester at a town hall event for Colorado’s governor.
KKTV reported Monday that the disturbance occurred as Democratic Gov. Jared Polis left the meeting Saturday at Sierra High School in Colorado Springs.
The male guard and the woman were not identified.
The video filmed from the audience shows the guard grabbing and pulling the woman forward by her arm.
Witnesses say the guard approached when she began waving a scarf that read, “Recall Polis.”
A witness says the guard “went from zero to complete hands-on physical” with the woman.
School District 2 says it plans to conduct an internal investigation.
A district spokesperson says the crowd was told before the event that posters, flags and yelling were not permitted.
