ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The trail rehabilitation project from Tramway Road — the road to the tram — to Interstate 40 will last 75 calendar days.
Work will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, the state Department of Transportation says in its weekly traffic report.
Crews will move from south to north in short intervals with no traffic lane impacts to Tramway Boulevard. But drivers should be watch out for trucks entering and exiting the active work zone.
Trail users should know that the trail will be closed in the active work zone with signs in place to direct them around the area, the DOT says.
Here are some other road advisories in this week’s report:
— From 9 p.m. tonight to 5:30 a.m. Monday, the right lane of northbound I-25 from Comanche to Montgomery will be closed for roadside barrier work. And the southbound right lane of I-25 from Jefferson to Montgomery and the Montgomery off ramp will be closed for the same type of work. Southbound I-25 traffic should exit at Jefferson and use the frontage road to get to Montgomery.
—From 9 p.m. Monday to 5 a.m. Tuesday, westbound I-40 from Rio Grande to Coors will have the right lane closed for work on the ongoing trail project.
— Monday through Friday, June 18, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily, the I-25 frontage road from San Antonio to Alameda will have various left lane closures for utility installation. Drivers are urged to be alert for these closures particularly near off- and on-ramps.
