APD: Man shot, critically injured in NE Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A man is in surgery after allegedly being shot at a northeast Albuquerque park and driven to the hospital, according to the Albuquerque Police Department.

APD spokesman Daren DeAguero said officers responded to a shooting at Netherwood Park, near Indian School and Girard NE, around 7:30 p.m.

“Officers arrived and canvased the area yet did not discover a victim or evidence of a shooting,” he said. “As officers were canvassing the area, UNMH called and advised that a male subject arrived at the ER with a gunshot wound.”

DeAguero said the man is currently in surgery and listed in critical condition.
