ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Police have identified a victim in an overnight shooting that led to an early morning vehicle crash in Southeast Albuquerque last month.
Erasmo Munoz-Saucedo, 20, was found dead after the crash at Central and Yale on June 30. He had been shot earlier that day in the 1300 block of Alamo, near Gibson and University, according to a spokesman for the Albuquerque Police Department. They have not said if he died from the gunshot or after the crash.
Police have not said if the shooting is being investigated as a homicide.
One other person was in the car that crashed and was taken to a hospital. They have not been identified.
“This is an ongoing, active investigation,” APD spokesman Gilbert Gallegos said in an email Thursday.
